Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka om arbetssökande upplever att det förekommer diskriminering i en anställningsintervju, med betoning utifrån de teoretiska underlagen preferensdiskriminering och intersektionalitet. Uppsatsen begränsade sig vid att enbart ta reda på människors upplevelser kring en direkt och indirekt diskriminering gällande skikten ålder, sexualitet och/eller etnicitet. En surveydesign, i form av postenkäter, valdes som metodval och besvarade av totalt sextiosex respondenter. Resultaten antyder att undersökningspopulationen inte upplevde att det förekom någon preferensdiskriminering eller någon diskriminering utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this essay was to investigate if job-seekers are experiencing discrimination in a job interview, with emphasis on the theoretical foundation of preference discrimination and intersectionality. The essay was limited to only finding out people’s experiences of a direct and indirect discrimination regarding to age, sexuality and/or ethnicity. A survey design was chosen as method and it was answered by a total of sixty-six people. The results suggest that the population of the survey does not experience any preference discrimination nor any intersectionality.
