Abstract [sv]

Arbetet med denna rapport har utförts i samarbete med Components i Ludvika som är en affärsenhet inom ABB koncernen. Components tillverkar komponenter för kraftöverföring, bland annat genomföringar som möjliggör att ström med hög spänning kan ledas mellan jordade plan.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka möjligheten till att utföra seismiska beräkningar i Creo Simulate. Bakgrunden är att konstruktörerna på Components har tillgång till simuleringsverktyget Creo Simulate i programvaran Creo Parametric 2.0 men som inte utnyttjas vid seismiska beräkningar. Alla avancerade jordbävningsanalyser utförs på Corporate Research i Västerås. Components vill därför undersöka om möjligheten finns att utföra mer seismiska analyser på plats i Ludvika med hjälp av Creo Simulate.

För att nå målet med undersökningen har metoder som litteratursökning i databaser, studier av intern dokumentation samt simulering med finita elementmetodik tillämpats. Simuleringarna görs enligt responsspektrummetoden och utförs i enlighet med de krav som en given standard anger. Begränsningar har varit möjliga att identifiera i Creo Simulate med hjälp av en genomföringsmodell. Dessa begränsningar presenteras i slutet av denna rapport.

Abstract [en]

The work done in this report has been performed in cooperation with ABB Components in Ludvika, which is a business unit within the ABB group. Components manufactures components for power transmission, including bushings that allow high voltage current to be led through grounded planes.

The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the possibilities to perform seismic calculations in Creo Simulate. The background is that the designers in Components have access to the simulation tool, Creo Simulate, in Creo Parametric 2.0 software but they do not use it for seismic calculations. All advanced earthquake analyzes are conducted at Corporate Research in Västerås. Components therefore want to investigate whether there is a possibility to perform more seismic analyzes in Ludvika by using Creo Simulate.

To achieve the goal of the survey, methods such as literature searches in databases, studies of internal documentation and simulation with the finite element methodology have been applied. The simulations are made according to the response spectrum method and are performed in accordance with the requirements specified by a given standard. Restrictions have been possible to identify in Creo Simulate using a model of a bushing. These limitations are presented at the end of this report.
