Abstract [sv]

Denna uppsats är fokuserad på musik i klassrummet som ett verktyg i undervisning av ett nytt språk i grundskolan. Det huvudsakliga målet är att undersöka om eleverna upplever att musiken ökar motivationen och ger stöd för inlärning. Undersökningen har genomförts med såväl textanalys, enkäter samt kvalitativa intervjuer och resultatet visar att eleverna upplever musik som en fördel vid sin inlärning, men på grund av tidsbrist används musik inte så ofta.

Abstract [en]

This essay focus on using music within the classroom as an educational tool to learn a new language. The main purpose is to investigate whether the pupils experience any motivational difference and if using music supports the learning process. The study has been completed with text analysis, polls and qualitative interviews and the result shows clearly that the students see music as a good instrument while learning Spanish. However, it is not used often due to time constraints.
