Abstract [sv]

Textbindning är avgörande för en texts begriplighet och kvalitet. Textbindning är även en spännande ingång till reflektion kring texter och textproduktion. Trots detta undervisas det i svensk skola mycket lite i textbindning. Eleven saknar därmed viktiga redskap för att utveckla sitt skrivande, men också redskap för att bli en bättre läsare. Med denna uppsats har jag velat undersöka dels vad text och textbindning är, dels huruvida gymnasieelever kan tillgodogöra sig undervisning i textbindning, dels hur sådan undervisning kan tänkas läggas upp. Uppsatsen ger en framskjuten ställning åt det teoretiska avsnittet om text, då jag menar att inblick i textbindningens många mekanismer bör ses som ett slags metakunskap som goda skribenter besitter. 

Abstract [en]

Textual grammar or the mechanisms of text cohesion and coherence are crucial to a text's comprehensibility and overall quality. The study of these mechanisms also constitutes an exciting entrance into a didactic reflection on texts and text production. And yet, questions of textual grammar and text cohesion are very far from constituting prominent features of the Swedish school curriculum. The pupil thus lacks important tools for developing his or her writing skills, but also lacks tools for becoming a better reader. With this essay, my intention has been to investigate what text and textual grammar are, furthermore whether secondary school students are able to assimilate teaching in text cohesion, and finally how such teaching can be organised. The essay gives a prominent place to the theoretical section about text, since I believe that insight into the many mechanisms of textual cohesion and coherence should be viewed as a kind of meta-knowledge that good writers possess
