Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

In this qualitative study, LVU-judgements were requested from an administrative court in central part of Sweden. The purpose of the study has been to describe how lack of care is described in LVU-judgements. The purpose was also to describe if, and in case how, differences between moth-ers and fathers appear in LVU-judgements. Qualitative content analysis was used to process the ma-terial. Three categories were identified. These were caring, behavioural and gender issues. The re-sults of the study show that descriptions of lack of care in LVU-judgements are similar. The results also show that there are differences between descriptions of mothers and fathers in LVU-judge-ments.
