The purpose of this essay is to research how the German language tuition is influenced by the digitization project, incited by the Swedish authority for education (Skolverket). In order to acquire data I combined a qualitative, semi structured interview with a set amount of classroom observations. The result implies a well structured methodology in regards to using digital instruments and resources. The result of this Survey suggested an inclination towards limited emphasis on the democratic aspects of the digital world. For example: Source criticism and effects of globalization. The chosen method for data analysis,theso called grounded theory, resulted in a theory pointing at the lack of awareness towards the digitizational directives given by the educational authorities.
