Utvecklingen av digitaliseringen har under coronapandemin exploderat. Nästintill alla företag har påverkats av pandemin och har behövt förändra sina arbetssätt. Många studier har genomförts angående digitalisering och det är ett aktuellt ämne. Det vi har uppmärksammat är att tidigare forskning inte berör småföretagare och hur de ställer sig till digitaliseringen. Vi har även observerat att ingen nämner redovisarnas eller revisorernas åsikter om utvecklingen av digitaliseringen. Det leder oss in på studiens syfte och forskningsfrågor;I vår studie skapar vi förståelse om digitaliseringens påverkan på redovisningen och revisionen i småföretag i Borlänge, Dalarna. Syftet är att undersöka förändringsprocessen med anledning av digitaliseringen utifrån redovisarnas, revisorernas och småföretagens perspektiv. Vi vill kunna ge svar på; Vad innebär digitalisering för redovisaren, revisorn och för småföretagen? Vilka konsekvenser kan tänkas uppstå med obligatorisk digitalisering för redovisaren, revisorn och för småföretagen?Vi har använt en kvalitativ ansats och genomfört fem semistrukturerade intervjuer. Intervjuerna genomfördes digitalt och respondenterna bestod av två redovisningskonsulter, en revisor och två småföretag för att undersöka förändringsprocessen utifrån våra två perspektiv. Efter att vi genomfört studien drar vi slutsatserna att digitalisering är ett brett begrepp men som i slutändan har samma betydelse. Vi ser att digitaliseringens fördelar väger tyngre än nackdelarna vilket ger en konkurrensfördel för de digitaliserade småföretagen. Förändringsprocessen kräver kunskap och tid vilket tas emot på olika sätt av respondenterna. Utifrån de två perspektiven kan vi inte se någon markant skillnad på digitaliseringens påverkan på redovisningen eller revisionen för småföretag.

The development of digitalisation has exploded during the corona pandemic. Almost all businesses have been affected by the pandemic and have had to change their ways of working. Many studies have been conducted regarding digitisation and it is a topical topic. What we have noticed is that previous research does not refer to small businesses and how they approach digitalisation. We also have observed that no one mentions the opinions of accountants or auditors about the development of digitalisation. This leads us to the purpose of the study and research questions;In our study, we will examine the impact of digitalisation on accounting and auditing in small businesses in Borlänge, Dalarna. The purpose is to examine the change process due to digitalisation from the perspective of accountants, auditors and small businesses. We want to find answers to; What does digitalisation mean for the accountant, the auditor and for small businesses? What consequences may occur with mandatory digitisation for the accountant, the auditor and for small businesses?We have used a quantitative approach and conducted five semi-structured interviews. The interviews were conducted digitally and the respondents consisted of two accounting consultants, one auditor and two small businesses to examine the change process from our two perspectives. After we completed the study, we conclude that digitisation is a broad concept but which ultimately has the same meaning. We see that the advantage of digitalisation outweigh the disadvantages, which gives a competitive advantage for the digitised small businesses. The change process requires knowledge and time, which is received in different ways by the respondents. From the two perspectives, we cannot see any significant difference in the impact of digitalisation on accounting or auditing for small businesses.
