Bakgrund: Patienter har rätt till att få tillräckligt med information om sitt hälsotillstånd för att kunna vara delaktig i sin vård. En god kommunikation i vården kan främja patientdelaktighet och personcentrerad vård, det stärker partnerskap mellan patient och vårdpersonal viket leder till en ökad vårdkvalité. Sjuksköterskor bör skapa relation med patienter för att kunna utöva en omvårdnad som bygger på delaktighet. För att patienter ska förstå sin behandling och delta i sin vård, krävs det att sjuksköterskor ger grundläggande information.Syfte: att beskriva patienters upplevelser och erfarenheter av delaktighet i omvårdnad inom slutenvård.Metod: En litteraturöversikt grundad på 17 vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades utifrån olika steg. Databaser CINAHL och PubMed användes för att söka artiklar.Resultat: Det finns faktorer som främjar respektive hindrar patientdelaktighet. Patienter som hade god kommunikation med vårdpersonal upplevde att de har fått nödvändig information och har varit delaktiga i sin vård. Patienter uppgav vikten av att bli tillfrågad om samtycke till olika omvårdnadensaktiviteter. Olika kommunikationsmetoder underlättar kommunikationen i vården och stödjer patientens delaktighet. Stöd av närstående bidrar till ökad patientdelaktighet i vården. Sjuksköterskor saknade kunskap och förståelse om patientdelaktighet, brist på tid ledde till stress som påverkade informationsförmedlingen och delaktigheten.Slutsats: Individuell information ger patienter förutsättning att vara delaktig i sin vård. Det är viktigt att sjuksköterskor ser patienter som partner för att kunna inkludera dem i det gemensamma arbetet och uppmuntra patienter att vara delaktiga i beslutprocessen. För att patienter ska känna sig accepterade, är det väsentligt att sjuksköterskor respekterar patienters brister och begränsningar. Sjuksköterskor har skyldighet att tillfredsställa patientens behov och önskemål.

Background: Patients have the right to receive sufficient information about their state of health to be able to participate in their care. Good communication in care can promote patient participation and person-centered care, strengthen partnerships between patients and care staff and increase care quality. Nurses should create relationships with patients in order to be able to provide care based on participation. In order for patients to understand their treatment and participate in their care, it is necessary for nurses to provide basic information.Aim: is to describe patients' perception and experiences of participation in nursing in inpatient care.Method: A literature review based on 17 scientific articles that were analyzed based on different steps. Databases CINAHL and PubMed were used to search for articles.Results: There are factors that promote and hinder patient participation. Patients who had good communication with healthcare professionals felt that they had received the necessary information and had been involved in their care. Patients stated the importance of being asked for consent to various nursing activities. Different communication methods facilitate communication in care and support patient participation. Support from close relatives contributes to increased patient participation in care. Nurses lacked knowledge and understanding of patient participation, they also had a lack of time and was stressed, which led to a lack of information and participation.Conclusion: Individual information gives patients the opportunity to be involved in their care. It is important that nurses see patients as partners in order to be able to participate in the joint work and encourage patients to be involved in the decision-making process. In order for patients to feel accepted, it is essential that nurses respect patients' deficiency and limitations. Nurses have a responsibility to satisfy the patient's needs and wishes.
