This study was aimed to investigate how a ”us and them” emerged in a group of young poeplés description and approaches to individuals and groups with a religiois identity. As a method to investigate this, a qualitative and semi-structured interview was done with six high school students from northern Sweden. When the interviews was done, an analysis was made using a social constructionist framework in general and three constructions of a ”us and them” as social, congruent and conflictual in particular. The results showed that all students used a social, congruent and conflictual creation of ”us and them” related to religion in different ways. The social construction was found to be interwined with the congruent construction in most students desciptions. Most of the students described that a sense of fellowship and shared values is what creates an ”us” and separates groups into ”us and them”. In the students approaches to religions and people in general, who were incongruent with themselves, the conflictual construction of ”us and them” was shown. This category included extremism, generalization of religious individuals and political views.
Denna studie syftade till att undersöka och försöka beskriva hur ett ”vi och dom” framträdde i en grupp ungdomars beskrivning och förhållningssätt till individer och grupper tillhörande en religiös livsåskådning. Som metod för att undersöka detta genomfördes en kvalitativ och halvstrukturerad intervju med sex gymnasieelever på ett naturbruksgymnasium i norra Sverige. Efter genomförandet av intervjun analyserades resultatet med hjälp av ett socialkonstruktionistiskt ramverk i allmänhet och tre konstruktionerna av ett skapande av ett ”vi och dom” som socialt, kongruent och konfliktuellt i synnerhet. Resultatet visade på att samtliga elever använde sig av ett socialt, kongruent och konfliktuellt skapande av ett ”vi och dom” kopplat till religion på olika sätt. Den sociala konstruktionen visade sig vara sammanvävd med den kongruenta konstruktionen i de flesta elevers resonemang. Eleverna beskrev att en känsla av gemenskap och gemensamma värderingar är det som skiljer grupper åt och som skapar ett ”vi och dom”. I elevernas förhållningssätt till religioner och människor som de upplevde som inkongruenta med sig själva visades den konfliktuella konstruktionen av ett ”vi och dom”. Till denna kategori hörde generaliseringar, religiösa individer, politiska åsikter och tankar kring extremism.
