Bakgrund: Ett av huvudområdena hos sköterskan är att arbeta hälsofrämjande och därmed förebygga sjukdom, bland annat genom riktade hälsosamtal.

Syfte: Att beskriva distriktssköterskors och sjuksköterskors upplevelser av riktade hälsosamtal i primärvården.

Metod: Studien genomfördes som en kvalitativ intervjustudie där åtta sjuksköterskor deltog och materialet analyserades utifrån Graneheim och Lundmans kvalitativa innehållsanalys.

Resultat: Resultatet beskriver tre huvudkategorier som är särskild vanligt förekommande i sjuksköterskornas egna utsagor om att hålla riktade hälsosamtal, och som har särskild betydelse för deras upplevelser av att hålla riktade hälsosamtal i primärvården. Dessa tre huvudkategorier är faktorer relaterade till sjuksköterskan, faktorer relaterade till verksamheten och faktorer relaterade till patienten.

Slutsats: Sjuksköterskornas upplevelser av att hålla riktade hälsosamtal i primärvården vittnar om att god erfarenhet och kompetens även skapar ett gott hälsosamtal. Deras upplevelser belyser även vikten av ett gott ledningsstöd för, och goda förutsättningar för planering av, det riktade hälsosamtalet. Därutöver visar studien genom sjuksköterskornas upplevelser hur deras utövande av ett produktivt hälsosamtal ständigt utmanas av patientens intresse, insikt och potential och benägenhet att kommunicera med sjuksköterskan. 

Background One of the main areas of a nurse is to work with health promotion and to prevent illness. Hence, the health talk is a prioritised part of a nurse conversations.

Aim This study aims to describe nurses’ experiences of conducting health conversations in the primary care.

Method The study was conducted as a qualitative interview study with eight nurses participating and the material was analyzed based on Graneheim and Lundman's qualitative content analysis.

Results The results describe three areas that are particularly and frequently common in the nurses’ experiences of conducting the healthtalk, and that they ascribe the most importance. These areas are factors relating to the nurse, factors relating to the authorities, and factors relating to the patient

Conclusions The study concludes that the nurses believe that good experience and competence create a good health talk. It also concludes that the health talk benefits from support and priority from the authorities. Lastly, the study concludes that the nurses believe that conducting a productive health talk continually is challenged by the patient’s interest of and insight in their health, and their potential to communicate well with the nurse.
