The purpose of this study is to identify the availability of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems on the Swedish market for small businesses, and to also understand the factors small businesses consider when choosing an ERP system for accounting. The method that was used to answer the research question about what factors small businesses consider when choosing an ERP system is semi-structured interviews. However, different Swedish websites were used to answer the question about the availability of ERP systems on the Swedish market. The respondents consist of ten individuals, seven of them work in accounting firms, and the three remaining individuals work in other industries. The results show that the respondents consider various factors when choosing an ERP system, such as the functions the systems offer, its user friendliness and its price. Almost all of the respondents are happy with the ERP system they use.

Syftet med studien är att kartlägga vilka affärssystem som är tillgängliga på den svenska marknaden för små företag, men också att förstå vilka faktorer som små företag tar hänsyn till vid val av affärssystem för redovisning. Metoden som används för att besvara forskningsfrågan om vilka faktorer små företag tar hänsyn till vid val av affärssystem är semistrukturerade intervjuer. Dock används det olika svenska hemsidor för att besvara frågan om vilka affärssystem som är tillgängliga på den svenska marknaden. Respondenterna består av tio individer, där sju av dem arbetar inom en redovisningsbyrå, och de tre resterande respondenterna är verksamma inom olika branscher. Resultatet visar att respondenterna tar hänsyn till olika faktorer när de väljer ett affärssystem, såsom de funktioner som affärssystemet erbjuder, användarvänligheten samt priset. Nästan alla respondenter är nöjda med det affärssystem som de använder.
