Abstract [en]

This essay focuses on the periphrasis "andare/venire + gerund" in Old Italian poetry in order to describe: 1) its relationship with the rhyme and the metric context, 2) its morphological and syntactic behaviour, 3) its semantic values (aspect and actionality), and 4) its stylistic effects.
