Abstract [en]

One of the key authors of the second half of the twentieth century, Samuel Beckett presents us with an oeuvre rich in interpretative possibilities. This bilingual (French and English) publication, the outcome of a conference held in Karlstad, Sweden, to mark the centenary of Beckett's birth, focuses in particular on Beckett's theatre (or the theatrical in Beckett's work), placing it in the wider European historical, cultural, linguistic and literary contexts.
