Abstract [en]

The purpose of this presentation is to discuss how teacher’s leadership can be used as a teaching method in language course distance. The environments that offer online courses provide a wide field for discussion of the contact teacher and student. My intention is to contribute to debate on teacher’s leadership in online courses. In my earlier studies on leadership, I have had as objective to investigate how leadership can affect different social movement in Brazil that was active under the military dictatorship (1964-1985). By examining the three tip of legitimacy described by Weber (1964), I could make an overview of the tip of the leadership that was characterized by religious leaders. Thus, I examine how teacher leadership, as a vehicle for their message can use their educational leadership skills to get students to achieve learning outcomes in their course. This issue is part of the research project “Teaching Methods in web-based language teaching-mapping” and it´s financed by NGL-center from the Dalarna University.

O propósito dessa apresentação é refletir sobre como a liderança do professor pode ser concebida como um método de ensino nos curso de idiomas dados a distância. Essa forma de ensino oferece um amplo campo para a discussão sobre a relação entre professor e estudante. Em meus estudos anteriores sobre a liderança, busquei investigar como um tipo de liderança pode influenciar diferentes movimentos sociais no Brasil durante a ditadura militar (1964-1985). Neste artigo quero discutir como a liderança de professores pode ser utilizada como um método pedagógico, nos cursos a distância. Focarei a relação entre professor e aluno como um componente chave no desenvolvimento e da qualificação dos cursos. Essa pesquisa constitui parte de um outro projeto "Métodos de Ensino em web-based língua de ensino-mapping", financiado pelo NGL do centro da Universidade de Dalarna. Atualmente estamos na fase de transcrição e análise do material coletado. Nosso interesse em discutir a metodologia adotada pelos professores, o tipo de contato estabelecido entre o professor e o aluno são questões fundamentais estudadas pelo grupo de pesquisa do qual faço parte.
