Syfte: Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att beskriva kvinnliga patienters upplevelser avomvårdnad vid vård efter sexuella övergrepp.Metod: Artiklar söktes via databaserna PubMed och CINAHL samt Obstetrics andGynecology. 39 artiklar uppfyllde inklusionskriterierna och kvalitetsgranskades. Slutligenkvarstod 11 artiklar som resultatet baserats på.Resultat: I litteraturöversikten framkommer det i resultatet att de allra flesta kvinnor somsökt vård efter ett sexuellt övergrepp har upplevt bemötandet som bra. Resultatetpresenteras i sju olika kategorier som visar att en stor del av kvinnorna menade attsjuksköterskan hade en viktig roll när det gällde kvinnors upplevelser till välbefinnandeefter ett sexuellt övergrepp.Slutsats: Sexuellt övergrepp, oavsett i vilken form, är en traumatisk upplevelse förkvinnan. För att kunna erbjuda kvinnan den bästa möjliga omvårdnaden efter ett sexuelltövergrepp krävs kunskap hos sjuksköterskan om hur bemötandet bör ske. En lyckadundersökning och ett lyckat möte med kvinnan kräver kunskap om hur positiva faktorerkan förstärkas samt hur negativa faktorer kan förminskas.

Purpose: The purpose of the literature review was to describe female patients experience of care after sexual assaults. Method: Articles were sought through the databases PubMed, CINAHL and Obstetrics and Gynecology. 39 articles comply with the inclusion criteria and were reviewe. 11 of these articles were included in this reviewed.Results: Based in the literature review, results indicated that the majority of women who sought care after a sexual assault reported a positive experience at the hospital. The results are presented in seven different categories and findings show that the nurse played an important role in a woman´s hospital experience after a sexual assault. Conclusion: Sexual abuse in any form is a traumatic experience for a woman. In order to offer a woman the best possible care after a sexual assault nurses need to have the proper training and knowledge of how to care for an assault victim. This study shows a successful care of an assault victim requires knowledge and training of nurses in dealing with the woman so that positive factors can be increased and negative aspects of care can be diminished.
