Abstract [en]

Based on a socio-cultural perspective on learning, the aim of this study is to examine if and how aims and learning objects are communicated by teachers to students in physical education (PE) practice at upper secondary school. A special focus has been on how the aims and learning outcomes have been expressed and communicated between teachers and students. The result shows that there is a wide variation between teachers and students and how the aims and learning outcomes are communicated during lessons. If there is a misunderstanding regarding the communication between teachers and students the outcomes will result in students having a hard time achieving the aims and goals within the subject.
