Conversations authentiques et CECR: compréhension globale d’interactions naturelles par des apprenants de FLE2016In: Cahiers de l'AFLS, ISSN 1756-4476, Vol. 20, no 1Article in journal (Refereed)
    Abstract [en]

The objective of the study presented in this article is to examine how learners of French as a foreign language at different levels of proficiency interpret video recordings containing authentic interactions. The interactions come from the CLAPI database and all contain some kind of disagreement. In a first step we analysed the recordings from an interactional approach in order to evaluate their level according to the CEFR scales. In a second step we showed the recordings to 22 learners at different levels of French within an experimental protocol. The level of proficiency was established from a DIALANG oral comprehension test. The results, based on summaries and the perception of key-moments in the interaction, showed differences according to the level of French. They suggest that lexical constraints as well as specificity of the interactional setting influence the learners’ level of comprehension.
