    Abstract [en]

Mindfulness has during the last few years developed from a Buddhist practice to a therapeutic practice used in several secular therapeutic schools, especially in cognitive behavioural orientations. It is thus a good example of a practice which exists in as well as inbetween both religion and therapeutic care. Analysing the development of mindfulness, the contemporary blurring boundaries between religious, scientific and therapeutic discourses and practices are discussed.

Waldorfpedagogiken – religion eller inte?2014In: DIN: tidsskrift for religion og kultur, ISSN 1501-9934, E-ISSN 2387-6735, no 1, p. 48-68Article in journal (Refereed)
    Abstract [sv]

Guds nya barnbarn: Att växa upp i kontroversiella religiösa grupper2017Book (Other academic)
    Abstract [sv]

    Abstract [sv]

Film som didaktisk resurs i religionsämnet: - Religionskunskapslärares syn på film i undervisningen2016Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how some Swedish teachers use film and movies as a

resource when they teach religious studies in upper secondary school. Three questions were

created to define the main focus of the thesis namely how the teachers perceived how they used

film, how they justified there use and which advantages and disadvantages they see with using

film in their teaching. To be able to answer them correctly the empirical data was collected by

two methods; a survey and three interviews. The empirical data was then related to previous

    research in the same field.

The thesis concludes that the teachers use film in the classroom in many ways, including as a way

to present facts about religions to the students and as a way to make it easier to understand

difficult parts of the subject. They also use film as way to make the students better at

understanding and discussing different perspectives of religion and ethics. The main

disadvantages film has is that it take a lot of time to show a film and use it in a meaningful way.

The teachers also sometimes finds it hard to find a film that suits the purpose of showing it.

Spelfilm i religionsämnet: - En didaktisk utmaning2015Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the research field regarding feature films as a resource in the Swedish school. The main focus is on the education concerning life issues and ethics, a big and sometimes hard field to teach. Three questions were created to grasp the field of research and find a result. The questions regarded how feature films is associated with religious education, what advantages and disadvantages feature film could have in a teaching context, and exactly what can feature films give students that other teaching methods can't.

The thesis concludes that feature films can be a good resource in a teaching context thanks to the feature films ability to emotionally affect the viewer, if the resource is used properly. The survey also reveals a need for more research regarding feature films in the field of teaching religious studies as a way to close the gaps in the field and as a way to help teachers use feature films better in their work.

Studier, sorg och kallelse: En religionsantropologisk studie av konvertiter till den katolska kyrkan2016Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 5 credits / 7,5 HE creditsStudent thesis
