Bakgrund: Palliativ vård omfattar psykisk och fysisk omvårdnad av patienter och närståendevid livets slut. Det innebär att sjuksköterskan tillämpar en helhetssyn för att lindra lidandesamt förbättra livskvaliteten hos de drabbade. Sjuksköterskan ska implementerapersoncentrerad vård för att möjliggöra en individanpassad vård efter patientens behov ochönskningar. Det finns många utmaningar inom palliativ vård därav är teamarbete och samspelav vikt för att skapa en god vård för patient samt närstående.Syfte: Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att belysa patienters erfarenheter av livskvalitet ochhur den påverkas inom palliativ vård.Metod: En litteraturöversikt där resultatet speglas av kvalitativa artiklar från databaserna avCINAHL och PubMed.Resultat: Resultatet består av kvalitativa artiklar och sju huvudkategorier som belyserpatienters erfarenheter av hur livskvaliteten påverkas inom palliativ vård. Dessahuvudkategorier är: Patienters erfarenheter av emotionella och fysiska förändringar inompalliativ vård, Patienters erfarenhet av smärtlindring, Patienters erfarenhet av förändradlivssituation och arbetsterapi, Patienters erfarenhet av relationer, Patienters erfarenhet avkommunikationens betydelse, Patienters erfarenhet av samtal och vårdplanering inompalliativ vård och Patienters erfarenhet av specifika åtgärder som påverkar livskvaliteten.Slutsats: Generellt ansåg patienter att individuell palliativ vård påverkade livskvaliteten ilivets slutskede. Det är även av vikt att identifiera patienternas fysiska och emotionella behovför att främja patienters livskvalitet. En god kommunikation och relation skaparförutsättningar till att skapa en individuell vårdplanering, smärtlindring och boendesituationsamt tillämpa specifika åtgärder för att främja livskvaliteten inom palliativ vård.

Introduction: Palliative care includes mental and physical care of patients and relatives at theend of life. The nurse role is to relive suffering and improve the quality of life of those who isaffected. The nurse should implement person-centered care to create an individual careaccording to the patient’s needs and wishes. There are many challenges in palliative care,therefor it is important to implement teamwork between the healthcare professionals to createa good and safe care for patients and relatives.Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe patients experiences of quality of lifeand how it is affected in palliative care.Method: A literature review which compiles qualitative articles from the databases, CINAHLand PubMed.Results: The result is based on qualitative articles and seven main categories that describespatients experiences of how the quality of life is affected in palliative care. The main categoriesare: Patients' experiences of emotional and physical changes in palliative care, Patients'experience of pain relief, Patients' experiences of changing life situation and occupationaltherapy, Patients' experiences of relationships, Patients’ experiences of the importance ofcommunication, Patients' experience of conversation and care planning in palliative care andexperiences of specific measures that affect the quality of life.Conclusion: In general, patients considered that individual palliative care affected the qualityof life in the final stage of life. It is also important to identify patients’ physical and emotionalneeds in order to promote patients’ quality of life. Good communication and relationshipscreate a good condition of individual care planning, pain relief and housing situations, as wellas applying specific measures to promote the quality of life in palliative care.
