Abstract [sv]

Socialsekreterares arbetsvillkor inom utredning barn och unga i socialtjänsten är ett ständigt aktuellt ämne. Det är hög arbetsbelastning och många krav som den enskilde ska hantera. Syftet med studien var att undersöka socialsekreterares arbetsvillkor inom utredning barn och unga och vilka utmaningar de möter i sitt arbete. Hur hanterar socialsekreterarna utmaningarna samtidigt som de ska jobba för barnens bästa. Studien baserades på intervjuer utifrån en kvalitativ metod med krav-kontroll-och stödmodellen som teoretiskt perspektiv.Resultatet visade att socialsekreterarna hade många krav att hantera i sitt arbete som de inte alltid kunde påverka. Socialsekreterarna fann dock stort stöd i kollegor och blev stärkt i det. Det är tydligt att arbetsvillkoren behöver förbättras för socialsekreterare för att skapa en hållbar arbetssituation.

Abstract [en]

The social secretary's working conditions in the investigation of children and young people in the social services is a constantly current topic. There is a high workload and many requirements that the individual must handle. The purpose of the study was to investigate social workers' working conditions in investigating children and what challenges they face in their work. How do the social secretaries handle the challenges while at the same time working for the best interests of the children and young people. The study was based on interviews based on a qualitative method with the requirements-control and support model as a theoretical perspective.The results showed that the social secretaries had many demands to deal with in their work that they could not always influence. However, the social secretaries found great support in colleagues and were strengthened in it. It is clear that working conditions need to be improved for social workers in order to create a sustainable work situation.
