Barn- och unga som begår brott eller riskerar att hamna i kriminalitet kräver brottsförebyggande arbete genom samverkan mellan flera aktörer, bland annat polismyndighet, socialtjänst och skola. Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka om det brottsförebyggande arbetet för barn och unga i projektet ”Bob – barn och unga i organiserad brottslighet” (Bob, 2023) stämmer överens med ett urval av teorier och forskning om social kontroll och sociala band. Genom en fallstudie i en kommun i Mellansverige har representanter från polismyndigheten, socialtjänsten och skolan intervjuats för få fram hur samverkansarbetet fungerar mellan de olika aktörerna.

Det empiriska materialet som framkom analyserades utifrån tre olika frågeteman som sammanställdes ihop med teorier och tidigare forskning. Resultatet som framkom var att det finns kopplingar mellan bristande sociala band till samhällsinstitutioner som till exempel skola, familj och kompisar och kriminalitet hos barn och unga. Det visade också att det finns brister i samverkansarbetet mellan de olika aktörerna och att samverkansarbetet behöver utvecklas.

Under studien framkom det att närvaro från de olika yrkesgrupperna som arbetar med barn och unga är av stor betydelse i det brottsförebyggande arbetet. Ökad närvaro leder till starkare sociala band i samhället men kan också vara resurskrävande men i det långa loppet främja det brottsförebyggande arbetet. 

Children and young people who commit crimes or are at risk ending up in crime require crime prevention work through cooperation between several actors, including police authorities, social services and schools. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the crime prevention work for children and young people in the project "Bob - children and young people in organized crime" (Bob, 2023) is consistent with a selection of theories and research on social control and social bonds. Through a case study in a municipality in Central Sweden, representatives from the police authority, social services and the school have been interviewed to find out how collaborative work works between the various actors.

The empirical material that emerged was analyzed based on three different question themes that were compiled together with theories and previous research. The result that emerged was that there are connections between a lack of social bonds to social institutions such as school, family and friends and children and young people who commit crimes. It also showed that there are shortcomings in the collaborative work between the various actors and that the collaborative work needs to be developed.

During the study, it emerged that presence from the various professional groups that work with children and young people is of great importance in crime prevention work. Increased presence leads to stronger social bonds in society but can also be resource demanding, but in the longrun it promotes crime prevention work.
