Este estudo tem como objetivo entender como as canções cantadas no dialeto caipira influenciam e refletem a identidade cultural do povo caipira. Para isso, esse estudo combina dois métodos qualitativos: a análise de conteúdo contextualizada de algumas estrofes de duas canções caipiras e a análise de cinco entrevistas com pessoas do meio caipira. A pesquisa busca com estes métodos, responder as perguntas de investigação por um lado -os elementos culturais e identitários que estão presentes nas letras das canções "Marvada Pinga" e "Pescador e Catireiro", com as quais contribuem para fortalecer a identidade cultural caipira e, por outro lado, como o povo caipira percebe sua própria identidade cultural relacionada com as canções cantadas no dialeto caipira. As conclusões deste estudo revelam que as letras das canções caipiras refletem elementos culturais e identitários, com o dialeto, temas do campo, tradições rurais e o humor, contribuindo para a preservação e evolução da cultura regional. Os entrevistados destacam a importância dessas canções para manter viva a identidade caipira, mesmo diante da modernização/globalização. Os entrevistados valorizam as tradições, a linguagem e a ligação com a natureza, considerando as canções essenciais para fortalecer os laços culturais e transmitir esses valores às novas gerações. Assim, as canções continuam sendo um elemento vital para preservar a memória e a essência da cultura caipira.

This study aims to understand how songs sung in the caipira dialect influence and reflect the cultural identity of the caipira people. To achieve this, the study combines two qualitative methods: the contextualized content analysis of some stanzas from two caipira songs and the analysis of five interviews with people from the caipira community. The research seeks with these methods to answer the investigative questions on the one hand - the cultural and identity elements present in the lyrics of the songs "Marvada Pinga" and "Pescador e Catireiro", which contribute to strengthening the caipira cultural identity related with, on the other hand, how the caipira people perceive their own cultural identity with the songs sung in the caipira dialect. This study's conclusions reveal that caipira songs' lyrics reflect cultural and identity elements, with the dialect, themes of the countryside, rural, traditions, and humor contributing to the preservation and evolution of regional culture. The interviewees emphasize the significance of these songs in preserving the caipira identity, even in the face of modernization and globalization. The interviewees value traditions, language, and connection with nature, considering the songs essential for strengthening cultural ties and transmitting these values to new generations. Thus, the songs continue to be vital for preserving the memory and essence of caipira culture.
