Abstract [en]
This study examines how hybrid work affects an organization and the leadership within it. The purpose of the study is to understand and explain the changes that affect an organization and its leaders as a result of hybrid work. Institutional theory has been used as the theoretical framework to analyze these changes. The study focuses on how an organization has adapted to hybrid work and the challenges and effects that arise in connection with this way of working.
The study was conducted using a qualitative research design and is based on a deductive approach. The empirical material was collected through interviews within the framework of a interveiw study. The collected material was then analyzed using thematic analysis, through which four main themes were identified. The results and conclusion of the study show that hybrid work was a direct consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, but has evolved into an institutionalized way of working within the organization. This study contributes to a greater understanding of how hybrid work affects an organization’s structure, communication, and leadership, as well as how an organization has adapted to a new form of work.
